Engineer's Toolbox - A nifty Engineer's Toolbox for structures and materials analysis/design.  Runs as a java applet in your browser.  Has many useful applications including stress analysis, dynamic analysis, fracture mechanics, numerical analysis and others.  You have to register before you can use.  The "Engineering Links" should also be useful in your structures courses.

FEMLAB - Finite Element Method Laboratory, runs on top of MATLAB.  Solution of 2-D and 3-D Engineering/Physics/etc. PDEs by the FEM method.
FLEXPDE - Solution of 2-D and 3-D PDE problems by the FEM method.
Software like FEMLAB and FLEXPDE uses "scripts" to define the physical/mathematical problem (PDE), geometry, material properties, interpolation polynomials to be used, loads, boundary conditions, etc. which transform the PDE into a finite element solution.
